Mike Nevell

Dr Mike Nevell is a landscape, buildings and industrial archaeologist with more than 30 years experience. He is currently Chair of the Association for Industrial Archaeology, a trustee of the Council for British Archaeology, and Chair of CBA North West. He is a former Chair of the CIfA Buildings Archaeology Group and was co-editor of the international journal Industrial Archaeology Review from 2010 to 2017. He is also the author of many books on a wide variety of archaeological topics (including industrial archaeology, buildings archaeology, and the archaeology of the Manchester area), and was an occasional contributor to Channel 4 TV’s Time Team. Mike is currently Head of Archaeology at the University of Salford, where he runs the Centre for Applied Archaeology which focuses on landscape and industrial archaeology research, community engagement, and professional training and consultancy.
